Justin Joiner, I-MD, PhD, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Justin Joiner, I-MD, PhD, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Integrative Medicine with a passion for combining evidence-based medicine with holistic, regenerative, and longevity-focused approaches to patient care. Licensed in the state of Missouri, he provides comprehensive, family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages, with clinical expertise spanning health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and the management of both common and complex health conditions throughout the lifespan.

As the founder of 417 Health & Wellness, Dr. Joiner focuses on personalized, relationship-based care that addresses the root causes of illness rather than simply treating symptoms. His practice integrates primary care, longevity medicine, hormone optimization, wellness therapies, regenerative medicine, peptide therapies, medical weight management, and aesthetic services to help patients improve both their health and overall quality of life.

Dr. Joiner holds a Doctorate in Integrative Medicine from Quantum University and has pursued extensive advanced training in hormone optimization, regenerative medicine, aesthetics, and longevity medicine. He is certified through Worldlink Medical as a Hormone Replacement Therapy Provider and is also a Certified Pellet Therapy Provider through Evexipel. These advanced certifications allow him to deliver personalized hormone optimization therapies designed to restore balance, improve vitality, optimize aging, and enhance long-term wellness.

In addition to his formal education, Dr. Joiner has completed advanced coursework and training through organizations including A4M (American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine), The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and Elite Nurse Practitioner. His continuing education includes specialized training in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies, regenerative and aesthetic procedures, IV nutrient therapies, peptide therapies, hormone replacement therapy, and integrative wellness treatments.

What sets Dr. Joiner apart is his ability to integrate the best of both worlds: the strong scientific foundation of Western medicine with a holistic, integrative approach focused on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of disease. He believes healthcare should not only manage symptoms, but also empower patients with the knowledge, tools, and support necessary to optimize their overall well-being, performance, and longevity.

Dr. Joiner’s healthcare journey began in 2004 as an ER technician in Branson, Missouri. Driven by a deep passion for service and patient care, he advanced from EMT to paramedic, then nurse, and ultimately nurse practitioner. Each stage of his career provided valuable experience and perspective, giving him a well-rounded understanding of patient needs across emergency medicine, acute care, and primary care settings. His commitment to continual growth and desire to make a greater impact on patient outcomes ultimately led him to pursue advanced practice and integrative medicine.

With over two decades of healthcare experience, Dr. Joiner brings a unique combination of strong clinical knowledge, hands-on emergency care experience, and a patient-centered philosophy. He takes the time to conduct comprehensive evaluations, carefully listening to each patient’s concerns and tailoring treatment plans to meet their individual goals and needs. By offering a broad spectrum of treatment options—including both conventional and integrative therapies—he ensures patients feel informed, supported, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Joiner has a strong interest in innovative and emerging therapies, including regenerative medicine, peptide therapies, auricular therapy, functional medicine concepts, and longevity-focused healthcare strategies. He is also actively involved in research exploring integrative approaches to complex conditions, including auricular therapy applications in Alpha-Gal Syndrome.

Dr. Joiner’s philosophy centers on building long-lasting, trusting relationships with his patients. He believes true healing begins when patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely engaged in their care. His approachable style, compassionate nature, and dedication to excellence create an environment where patients feel both comfortable and confident in the care they receive.

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Joiner enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, continuing advanced medical education, and helping expand innovative healthcare and wellness services throughout Southwest Missouri.
